1. Open source by default, proprietary when justified
Our evaluation framework always starts with free and open-source solutions. We only recommend a proprietary solution when functional, security or integration criteria objectively justify it — and we document why.
This stance frees us from any conflicts of interest linked to resale commissions.
2. Real digital sovereignty
We do not simply host “in France” as a commercial argument. We:
- Verify the subcontracting chain of our hosting providers
- Enforce contractual clauses on data localisation
- Propose on-premise architectures when sovereignty demands it
- Exclude by default services subject to the US Cloud Act
3. Refurbished hardware and circular economy
Kollaborateur, our hardware offering, is built on certified refurbished equipment. We work with French partners who comply with ITAD (IT Asset Disposition) standards and provide traceability certificates.
The impact is measurable: each refurbished workstation saves on average 70% of the CO₂ emissions of an equivalent new device.
4. Full independence from software vendors
Ekioo receives no resale commissions on any solutions it deploys. We exclusively invoice our advisory and implementation services. As a result, our recommendations are always in your organisation’s interest.
We can also assist you in renegotiating your existing vendor contracts — without any conflict of interest.
5. Measurable digital ESG
We go beyond good intentions. Our deliverables include:
- Digital carbon assessment (scope 3 included)
- ESG indicators ready for reporting (GRI, CSRD)
- IT energy consumption monitoring dashboard
- Recommendations prioritised by impact and feasibility
6. An integrated sovereign product suite
Unlike generalist IT firms, Ekioo offers its own ko- product suite: Kooperation (collaborative office suite), Koprojet (project management), Konnaissance (knowledge base), Kommercial (CRM), Kogestion (lightweight ERP)… all based on recognised open-source solutions, hosted in Europe.

7. Knowledge transfer is included
We systematically train your teams on the tools and practices we deploy. The goal is for you to operate autonomously — or at least reduce your dependency on Ekioo.
This is a rare stance in the industry, and it is a contractual commitment.
